Welcome to My Sunday Skincare Chat

Hi friends! I’m so glad you can join me on this lovely Sunday. Today, I want to dive into my basic skincare routine that has truly worked wonders for me without breaking the bank. If you’re thinking that a great skincare regimen needs to be filled with fancy and pricey products, think again!

Hitting My Mid-Thirties and the Struggles with Skin

It all started when I hit my mid-thirties. Suddenly, I was faced with adult acne, some weight gain, and minor hair loss. It was a rough ride! I tried a plethora of different products, even visited a dermatologist. It seemed like every visit led to a new prescription. Though a few products worked for a short time, they often left my skin feeling sensitive after just a couple of months, and my wallet was starting to feel lighter.

Going Back to Basics

After all those trials and tribulations, I decided to go back to the basics. Yep, you heard that right! I went with the good old soap and water method. No frills! My go-to cleanser is Safeguard beige soap that’s known for its antibacterial properties, which keeps things simple yet effective.

Please note I have no affiliation with the products mentioned; these are just products I use.

For my daily moisturizer, I use Cetaphil. It’s affordable and hydrates well without making my skin feel greasy. But the changes didn’t stop there! I committed to clean eating, drank freshly squeezed grapefruit juice every morning, and added daily movement into my life—especially more intense workouts on my days off. This combination has been phenomenal for keeping my adult acne at bay!

Find What Works for You

Now, I know this skincare routine might not work for everyone. It fits perfectly into my lifestyle and my budget. Everyone’s skin is unique, and finding the right products for you can take some experimenting. So, what’s your skincare routine like? I’d love to hear all about your favorite products and any tips you might have!

Thank you so much for joining me on this Sunday. Remember, sometimes the simplest solutions are the most effective! Stay beautiful, friends!
